Tasks and deadlines of aims and objectives 15/9/2024.
MY aims and objectives are:
planning effectively and time management, as i have never managed a project before i need to learn and implicate this as it is crucial in order to structure a plan to follow in order to meet the final deadline, therefore i will be using monday.com so i can create a task checklist and follow a structure.
Ensuring i have enough detailed research to cover EV's this is because i have never written a 5000 word dissertation before and i want to ensure i will have enough detailed information to create arguments for and against the mass adoption and synthesise all the research to come to a conclusion.
Introducing Harvard referencing into my work, as i am writing a dissertation the reader needs to be able to identify from each paragraph which sources of information i have used in order to check i have not made up any information. In addition to this i want to learn it as it will be a crucially important tool in university when i have to write more dissertations.
Produce a high level dissertation by synthesising research to find a detailed conclusion, as i have never written one this will be a highly important skill in university as i will have to evaluate my research and create arguments in order to justify my reasoning in conclusion.

18/9/2023 i have completed my research into economic factors of the EV's finding its cost to be extremely high is this going to be worth it in relation to its positive environmental impact.
17/10/2023 today i have finished researching the environmental factors of the Ev's finding out that only after driven so many miles is an EV is it beneficial to the earth as its cost to make is high in emissions and initially more than an ICE vehicle.
19/12/2023 I have completed technological factors research after a gap in activity due to an extended period of ill health finding that the positives of mass adoption is huge however the barrier to getting there is acceptance as people are hesitant due too being scared of safety and the change. I have additionally completed a mid point progress review in order to identify a direction for the future of the epq as well as evaluated how well it has gone so far in regards to my aims and objectives.
I have edited my task progression list in order to follow the new plan.

Here i have completed research into how the government are pushing for these cars and found they are introducing the ZEV mandate which sets guidelines for the sales of the EV's incentivising them for makers, sellers and buyers but at the same time should demand not be met there is sanctions in place to make sure sellers take part in increasing sales through spreading information.

today i have researched the acceptance and safety of the EV's and found that it will take time and more public awareness in order to change public opinion on the safety of the vehicles.
19/3/2024
Today i finalized my research by answering all the questions i set out to in my plan, therefore allowing me to synthesise my research before planning and writing my dissertation.
23/4/2024
today i have completed my dissertation and included referencing and a bibliography meeting my objectives as i have completed a high level dissertation after sticking to my plan and finding detailed research to answer my questions using trusted reliable secondary sources. I have also begun creating a powerpoint to present my project to my class.
30/4/2024
Today i have completed my powerpoint ready to present in front of the class.
The responses I received from my presentation were overall positive with students noting how I confidently presented my topic. Some of the comments were; It was aimed at a non-specialist audience and it was clear with technical terms explained, it had the right balance of content and evaluation engaging the audience with clear factors well justified, Developed presentation effectively, well articulated, visually pleasing presentation and overall clear to follow.
This has left me pleased with the progress of my EPQ as i have demonstrated my understanding of the topic as well as presented it to a non specialist audience who found it to be easy to understand and well articulated with a perfect balance of content and evaluation.
Now I must complete a final review of my project before its submission on the 3/5/2024
It is complete along with my PPR for submission 2/5/2024
